Good to know

We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time . If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand. We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink san dunes.

Such a wonderful experience! We stayed three nights and wished we could stay longer! So nice to get away from everything, but also a great location to use as a base camp for the many outdoor adventures in the area. The friendly cat, dogs, and other farm animals made us feel welcome, and we looked forward to returning to the farm each night. Gathering fresh eggs for breakfast was a fun bonus. Accommodations were cozy and comfortable and the views were beautiful!

John’s home was the perfect little private cabin. The location is great and is 1-2 hrs from most national parks. The cabin was small yet spacious with everything you might need. John was a very responsive host!

This stay didn’t disappoint in the least. The location is great, it’s down its own stretch of dirt road just far enough away that you don’t hear any traffic. It’s very quiet, in a very pretty spot, the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, there’s no light pollution at night. The cabin itself was in great shape and very clean. There’s plenty of parking. There’s some wood on site for the fire pits. Also it is close enough to Hurricane/Sand Hollow as well as Coral Pink sand dunes. Just a lot of pluses and we had no issues. Will be staying here again, it’s a great way to escape the crowds.

John was extremely responsive and kind throughout our stay. The location was private, peaceful, and unique. Enjoyed feeding the cows, horses, and goats on the ranch. Would recommend this stay to anyone looking to visit Northern Arizona.

This is the only location I have saved for future trips. Plenty of great Air BnBs that are 5 stars hut this one takes the cake. They have very sweet animals you can visit before heading out exploring the area. đŸ„° This spot is so cozy and comforting not to mention the stars you see at night! I was blessed to be there during snowfall. Definitely without a doubt coming back for the next road trip. Thank you for having a sense of humor and kindness in our messages and updates as well. â˜ș
